The treatment line consists of a modern PET washing line, processing material recovered from the previous advanced sorting phase or purchased directly on the market. Bales of pressed material including light blue, clear or coloured PET containers are fed into the plant and undergo a series of processing steps to obtain rPET flakes (recycled PET) with quality levels very close to those of virgin PET.
The resulting flakes are then subjected to rigorous quality control in RES laboratories to ensure compliance with UNI 10667 requirements and to classify them as Secondary Raw Materials. The Company’s short- to medium-term objective is to produce recycled polymers for the manufacture of textile fibres with innovative characteristics.
The plant is also designed to process PP and HDPE materials.
