This strategic project marks a further step forward in the Group\u2019s sustainable energy transition pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RES has joined the national <strong>Hydrogen Valley<\/strong> initiative and, thanks to the funding obtained, will implement an <strong>integrated energy system<\/strong> consisting of a <strong>1.95 MW photovoltaic plant<\/strong>, an energy production facility based on the <strong>gasification of biological fractions<\/strong>, and a <strong>1 MW electrolyser<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <strong>June 2026<\/strong>, the plant will be capable of producing approximately <strong>150 tonnes of green hydrogen per year<\/strong>, generated exclusively from renewable sources. The hydrogen will be used to power the waste collection vehicle fleet of <strong>Smaltimenti Sud<\/strong>, a company within the Valerio Group. This represents a concrete application of innovation aimed at making the entire operational supply chain more sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Antonio Lucio Valerio<\/strong>, CEO of <strong>RES S.p.A.<\/strong>, stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn the path towards climate neutrality, it is essential to renew the entire energy supply chain and build increasingly integrated and sustainable systems. With this project, RES has chosen to invest in its territory to lead the energy transition of transport and logistics systems linked to waste management.
