{"id":2029,"date":"2025-12-18T11:54:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T10:54:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recuperoeticosostenibile.it\/?post_type=impianti&#038;p=2029"},"modified":"2026-03-12T10:51:27","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T09:51:27","slug":"impianto-di-selezione-con-produzione-di-css-pozzilli","status":"publish","type":"impianti","link":"https:\/\/recuperoeticosostenibile.it\/en\/facilities\/impianto-di-selezione-con-produzione-di-css-pozzilli\/","title":{"rendered":"Sorting plant with Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) production (Pozzilli)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The separate collection recovery and valorisation plant is located in the Industrial Area of the Municipality of Pozzilli (IS) and is authorised pursuant to Article 208 of Legislative Decree 152\/06 by Decree D.D. no. 1649 of 03\/04\/2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the plant, waste consisting of mixed-material and single-material packaging from separate collection is sorted in order to produce homogeneous waste streams and secondary raw materials destined for the relevant recycling consortia, ensuring proper recycling processes, including through the use of optical sorting technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types of waste processed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Paper and cardboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Composite packaging materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polyethylene (PE)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wood<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ferrous and non-ferrous metals<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bulky waste processing section<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The durable goods treatment plant consists of a single processing line with the following workflow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manual dismantling using idle roller conveyors and hand tools;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volume reduction via twin-shaft shredder;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recovery of ferrous metals through magnetic separation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recovery of waste materials to be sent to temporary storage (glass, wood, plastics, etc.).<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Separate collection recovery section<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Waste from separate collection can be delivered either loose or in bags. The main equipment forming the plant includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bag opener and feeding system;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feed conveyor with ballistic separator;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Single-stage ballistic separator;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversize and undersize conveyor belts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual sorting cabins for oversize and undersize fractions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magnetic separator and eddy current separator;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two-way optical sorters;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual sorting cabins for final refinement.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The plant is technologically advanced and is equipped with a two-way optical sorter that detects objects according to their material composition through an IT-based management system, enabling separate or simultaneous selection of different materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Optical sorting represents an optimised application of non-contact detection technologies with automated ejection. Object recognition occurs in extremely short timescales (milliseconds) through infrared scanning, which is compared against an extensive spectral database.
