{"id":1881,"date":"2025-12-19T11:52:33","date_gmt":"2025-12-19T10:52:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/recuperoeticosostenibile.it\/impianti\/impianto-di-trattamento-meccanico-biologico-con-produzione-di-css\/"},"modified":"2026-03-12T10:26:27","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T09:26:27","slug":"impianto-di-trattamento-meccanico-biologico-con-produzione-di-css","status":"publish","type":"impianti","link":"https:\/\/recuperoeticosostenibile.it\/en\/facilities\/impianto-di-trattamento-meccanico-biologico-con-produzione-di-css\/","title":{"rendered":"Mechanical-biological treatment plant with Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) production"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The mechanical\u2013biological treatment plant with Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) production<\/strong>, located in the Tufo Colonoco area within the Municipality of Isernia, is authorised\u2014together with the entire plant complex\u2014pursuant to Article 29-quater, paragraph 10 of Legislative Decree 152\/06, by Decree D.D. no. 14 of 13\/07\/2015, as updated by Decree D.D. no. 1697 of 04\/05\/2018, issued by the Molise Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plant treats the main waste streams generated by standard waste collection systems (municipal waste, residual waste from separate collection and waste assimilated to municipal waste), as well as non-hazardous special waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The general operating scheme of the processing cycle can be summarised as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Waste delivery phase;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shredding and screening phase;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ferrous removal and separation using a ballistic classifier;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NIR separation of the heavy fraction;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refinement of the light fraction;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final compaction phase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The plant is designed for a daily input flow of <strong>100 tonnes<\/strong>, corresponding to output streams classified as <strong>combustible waste (RDF)<\/strong>, organic fraction, plastics, ferrous metals and residual material destined for landfill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility is equipped with an optical sorter known as <strong>MISTRAL<\/strong>, which enables separate or simultaneous sorting of different materials, and with a <strong>Near Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy<\/strong> sorter combined with a metal detector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This technology makes it possible to identify and separate the most common plastics (e.g. PET and PE) and to remove ferrous and non-ferrous elements from the waste stream.
